10 Greatest NYFW Looks!

Here are some of the prettiest and innovative pieces from 2012 New York Fashion Week.

1. Jason Wu paid homage to his ethnic roots by designing his collection with beautiful Chinese undertones! The brocade pocket panels on the skirt define the hips and add panache!
2. Anna Sui nailed the bohemian-luxury-queen-of-the-Nile look!

3. J Mendel beautified diamond panels...who knew diamonds could be so demure and sexy.

4. Marchesa loves selling romance. The entire 2012 line was a swooning confection of candlelight hues and romantic silhouettes.

5. Oscar De La Renta's collection looked like Cher from "Clueless" puked her stepford wife wardrobe...love it! All the looks were clean, proper, preppy and ultra-girly.

6. Donna Karan menswear inspired collection defined sexy-mobster-lady! The cuts, tailoring and lines make the female figure BOSS!

7. Reem Acra! Holy-moley, have you ever seen such a daring cut! Sleek, streamlined, high slit, single capped sleeve and jutting hip bones!

8. Ralph Lauren...silky, slinky, feathers, beadwork, drop earrings...glam-madness! gatsby!
9. Monique Lhuillier loves these cinched waists, leather bands and sultry silhouettes.

10. Prabal Gurung...rich, textures, body hugging...yum

The Super-Rich Girl Vintage Wardrobe Must Haves!

I find myself constantly overdressed but I've stopped caring because I know I'm bringing the old romantic era back to life. I love getting fancy and putting my best gown on...I'm getting tired of seeing all these ladies wearing sweatpants all around town. Every elite fashionista needs these fancy smancy vintage finds...don't let couture vintage slip away from time. Vintage designer goods are one of a kind investment items! Without further ado...in no particular order...
1. Vintage Chanel Blazer
Come on, this blazer can even make Courtney Love look sophisticated! Pair it with a caviar bag & you're good 2 go!
2. Vintage Givenchy
Silk chiffon goddess gown with a sexy back? Don't mind if I do.

3. Vintage Chloe Top
Preppy, unique tailoring and fashion forward.

4. Vintage Balmain Gloves
Dainty, feminine and a piece of fashion history you cant say no to.

5. Vintage Goyard Trunk
Well...we need a place to pack all these vintage goodies. Louis Vuitton might be the desired luggage to have, but Goyard is in the big leagues of luggage royalty.
6. Vintage Valentino Satin Chemise Night Gown/Slip Dress
Want to feel sexy on your night out...or your night in bed? Lace and silk up in one of these...

7. Vintage Designer Black Bustier
Seriously...pin up, affluent lingerie...hot hot hot
8. Vintage Emanuel Ungaro or Pucci Dress
Every rich girl needs one...just sayin'

9. Vintage Robert Dudley Hat
It doesn't get more historically posh than this. All the elite theatre actors, film actors and high society figures in the 40's and 50's jumped at the chance to buy these hats. This particular hat was previously owned by the famous Anita Loos. These hats are hard to get your hands on today so you'll need a good estate sale hunter to look for these hidden gems.
10. Vintage Lisa Ho Chiffon Shirt
You can pair this sexy babydall overdress with just about anything.
11. Vintage Roger Vivier Shoes
These pilgrim pumps are the the start of Vivier's couture shoes. Vivier also designed for Dior if you're wondering...

12. Vintage Parisian Handmade Glam Dresses
Social-lites, want to wow people on your next red carpet charity gala event? Getting blinged vintage dresses, like a Bob Mackie vintage piece for example, will show you respect glam and it's history of intricate beading.  The picture of this Parisian custom dress on the right is selling for over 15k$.
13. Vintage Mainbocher or Pierre Cardin Outfit
Mainbocher is responsible for designing the first understated chic elegant dresses and suits. More current day designers need to tip their hats to the legendary styles Mainbocher paved the fashion roads with.
14. Isabel Toledo Packing Skirts
This skirt lies flat when not worn but has beautiful shape once on the body...one of a kind and quite rare to find vintage from the 80's!

15. Vintage Monokini
If you're european or just plain ole BRAVE, then you need this in your vintage collection. Rudi Gernreich is most famous for these avant-garde bathing suits (made of the same wool material Victorian era suits had). I's said that only a couple hundred of these suits were sold. If you're willing to shell out thousands of dollars for this piece...do it.

 16. Vintage Jeanne Lanvin
Stop it. How gorgeous is the front of this dress!? Lanvin's vintage pieces are iconic...BANANAS!  This taffeta beaded 1920's dress is OUT OF THIS WORLD, literally! Even aliens will be jealous of you.
17. Vintage Soutache Jacket
You haven't lived if you haven't rocked one of these. Vintage late 1800's wool jackets like these below will bring your status up to Goddess level. Trendy, regal and it could cost you up to 20k$ but definitely worth it. This is SO me! Love these puffy sleeve tailored jackets...

       18. Vintage YSL & Halston

19. Vintage Fur Coats
Vintage fur is a hit or a miss. The condition of older fur pieces can be pretty weak, sheaded and flimsy. This John Bates Wool and Fur Trim coat is one of a kind.  The panels and pleats he added onto this coat are unlike any other designers work.

20. Vintage Pierre Cardin

21. Vintage Emilio Schuberth Decollete Dress

22. Vintage Oscar De La Renta
